Port Orange, Florida resident Arnold Buckman is the 4th-generation owner and president of Buckman Iron & Metal Co., Inc. The recycling plant has been in the Buckman family for 124 years and operates locations in LaSalle, Ottawa, and Mendota, Illinois. After becoming president, Arnold Buckman set out to establish the company as an industry leader. He invested in modern recycling machinery and changed the layouts at the LaSalle and Ottawa locations by installing drive-thrus.

In addition to his work at Buckman Iron & Metal Co., Inc., Mr. Buckman manages several other investments, most of which he oversees as an owner/operator. He owns several thousand acres throughout northern Illinois, which he farms. He also serves as chief executive officer of his private equity wealth management firm, Buckman Trading, in Chicago.

Arnold Buckman enjoys flying and has a vested interest in aviation. In line with that interest, he founded Buckman Aviation, LLC, which operates out of Peru, Illinois, primarily from the Illinois Valley Regional Airport/Walter A. Duncan Field. The aviation firm offers aircraft chartering and private aviation services. When he is not working, he enjoys kayaking, boating, scuba diving, and flying.
